How does the Tattle Tale Alarm work? Using structural vibration technology, the Tattle Tale senses the vibrations created by your pets - either their paws or claws - in the floor, on the door or where ever they may be. This particular vibration pattern sets off the Tattle Tale's Alarm, warning you that your pet is in or around an unauthorized area.
Can I hear the Alarm? Can my dog or cat? Yes, both you and your pets can hear the alarm sound given off by the Tattle Tale.
How long does the Tattle Tale's alarm sound last? About 2 to 3 seconds. It then automatically resets itself.
Does the Tattle Tale require a battery? Yes, you will need a 9 volt battery (included) to operate the Tattle Tale.
How long does the Tattle Tale Pet Alarm battery last? While that depends entirely on your pets and the amount of times the Pet Alarm is set off, the Tattle Tale generally lasts for many months without interruption.
I just purchased the Tattle Tale and tried to test it. Why is it not working? To increase battery life, the Tattle Tale is packaged and shipped with the battery disconnected. Remove the battery door and attached the battery clips inside the pet alarm to fix the issue.
Can I control the volume of the Tattle Tale Pet Alarm sound? Not at this time.
What is the HI and LO switch on the Tattle Tale Pet Trainer for? The switch is not designed for loudness, rather, it's meant to adjust the sensitivity of the alarm for your pet and home. The HI switch detects smaller vibrations than the LO switch, so you should choose that for optimum performance. If the alarm is picking up vibrations and setting off when you'd prefer it wouldn't, select the LO setting.
